Abstract:
World
wide, cardiovascular diseases are the major cause of death. Unobtrusive long
term monitoring of patient’s vital signs shows great promise for the prevention
and management of such diseases. Home monitoring, for instance, can help to
reduce mortality rates, the amount of time spent in hospitals, and the overall
costs of treatment.
Fetal mortality rate is considered a good measure of the quality of
health care in a country or a medical facility. If we look at the current
scenario, we find that we have focused more on child mortality rate than on
fetus mortality. Even it is a same situation in developed country. Our aim is
to provide technological solutions to help decrease the fetal mortality rate.
Also if we consider pregnant women, they have to come to hospital 2-3 times a week
for their regular checkups.A key requirement for the
acceptance of such a system is that it does not reduce the patients comfort nor
increase the burden on the hospital staff.
In
this with the help of Bluetooth we can send the data about the heart beat
sensor values to your smart phone via with the help of Bluetooth module which
is attached to the microcontroller board which is having the heartbeat sensor.
in Smartphone there is application for monitoring the heartbeat data which collected
by sensor.
The power supply consists of a step down transformer
230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using
a Bridge rectifier and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator
7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other
components
ADVANTAGES:

Monitoring and control is the core of the real- time monitoring
system for patient physical states, and it can dispose , display , save ,query
and analyze the data from each patient

One key point of all critical care for elderly patient is the
continuous monitoring of their vital signs. The results prove that the
mobility, usability and performance of our proposed system have impacts on the
user’s attitude, and there is a significant positive relation between the
user’s attitude and the intent to use our proposed system. This proposed system
is expected to monitor the electrical activity of heart of the patient under
critical care more conveniently and accurately for diagnosing.

Accuracy is more, because it uses wireless network.

Bluetooth is selected as the wireless transmission standard
because of its short-range, low-cost, and low power characteristics.
