ROOM LIGHT CONTROLLER WITH VISITOR COUNTER USING CONTROLLER
ABSTRACT:
In
today’s world we need to save electricity. Our project helps to achieve this
purpose. In this project, microcontroller counts the number of person entering
inside any room like conference room, seminar hall or classroom. The number of person is displayed on a
liquid crystal display.
When
the number of person is equal to zero then the lights or fan inside the room
are turned off using a relay. The counter used is bidirectional, this means
that count will increase when person enters inside room and count will decrease
when any person leaves the room.
So
whenever count is greater than or equal to 1 then the relay is turned on and
respectively the light / fan are turned on. This project is useful because many
times we come outside the room and forgot to turn off the fan, thus we waste
the electricity and power wastage. We can avoid this using our project “Automatic
room light controller.
This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. 7805 three
terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full
wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/18V step
down transformer.
