GSM BASED HOME SECURITY SYSTEM

ABSTRACT:
There is a lot of requirement to automate the security systems to ensure the security of the home at low cost. In our project we are going to develop a embedded security system which will detect the others not to intrude our home.
            The security system will use gsm interface to inform the authorized person. How our project will works is on our embedded designed board there was a ir sensor and ir transmitter, if anybody crossed the signal established between the tx and rx of ir the gsm which is connected to our board will automatically send a data to the authorized person to that particular home. Then the authorized person can also alert with that message.
The system can work standalone and can also be integrated to a computer using rs-232 port. The complete code for the embedded system is going to be developed using c-language.


Advantages:

Ø  To automate the security systems to ensure the security of the home at low cost the authorized person can also alert with that message. ,
Ø  If anybody crossed the signal established between the tx and rx of ir the GSM which is connected to our board will automatically send a data to the authorized person to that particular home.

PROGRAMMABLE TEMPERATURE MONITOR AND CONTROLLER FOR INDUSTRIAL BOILERS & OVENS

ABSTARACT:

This project is a standalone digital temperature meter that also controls the temperature of the heating element of a device according to its requirement. Use of embedded technology makes this closed loop feedback control system efficient and reliable. Micro controller (AT89S52) allows dynamic and faster control. Push button switches and liquid crystal display (LCD) make the system user-friendly. The sensed and set temperature values are simultaneously displayed on the LCD panel. The circuit is programmed for on/ off control. It is very compact using few components and can be implemented for several applications including air-conditioners, water-heaters, snow-melters, ovens, heat-exchangers, mixers, furnaces, incubators, thermal baths and veterinary operating tables. AT89S52 micro controller is the heart of the circuit as it controls all the functions. 

The temperature sensor LM35 senses the temperature and converts it into an be provided by the micro controller. S electrical signal, which is applied to the micro controller through ADC. The analog signal is converted into digital format by the analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The sensed and  set values of the temperature are displayed on the 16x2-line LCD. The micro controller drives a transistor to control the heating element with the help of an electromagnetic relay. The set temperature value can be varied from 1C to 255C using an external PCB mount push on switch A double pole double throw (DPDT) relay is connected to the micro controller through a driver transistor. The relay requires 5 volts at a current of around 50 mA, which can not This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage process industries for maintenance and controlling of Boilers temperature

REAL TIME CLOCK BASED SOLAR LED STREET LIGHT AUTOMATION USING DALLAS RTC AND I2C PROTOCOL

ABSTRACT:

             Form  olden  days  we  re  using  non  renewable  sources  of  energy  in  excess mount  for  our  needs.  As this type of minerals  like  coal etc  are  exhausting so we  have  to  depend  on  the  renewable  sources  of  energy  like  solar,  wind,  etc.  For  smaller application it is better to use renewable energy.  
                              As  this  project  is  based  on  streetlight  automation  and required Ac supply. So  for this particular  application we  are  using solar  panels to charge the DC battery and the power from the battery can be used for this application. Advertising  hoardings,  commercial  sign  boards,  and  street  lights  are  generally  switched on  at 6:30 pm  and switched off  at  10:00 am  because nobody  is  available  at  the  place  in he  morning  to  switch  it  off.  But  actual required time  is  6:30pm to 11:30pm  and  4:30am to  6:30am.  Meantime  i.e.,  from  11:30pm  to  4:30am  is  not  required,  because  the  public flow  on  the  roads  is  almost  nil  in  this  time.  And  from  6:30am  to  10:00am  is  also  not required as the sun  light  is  available  during this time.  That  means  every day  around  nine hours  of  power  is  wasted.  This  project  gives  the  best  solution  for  electrical  energy wastage. Also the manual operation of the lighting system is completely eliminated. The  Project  AT89S8252  Microcontroller  Based  Energy  saver  for  Commercial Lighting  system  with  RTC  DS1307  Interfacing  is  an  interesting  project  which  uses AT89S8252 microcontroller as its  brain. This  project  is  very useful  for commercial sign boards,  advertising  boards,  street  lights  for  automation  lighting  system.  This  system switches  on  the lights  only at  preprogrammed  timings.  As  the DS1307  Real  Time Clock chip  with  battery  back-up  is  used,  there  will  be  no  disturbances  for  the  programmed on/off timings even in power failures.

ABSTRACT:
            Nowadays there  are  various electronic  equipments available  for  remote  operation of  electronic  devices.  But,  the  main  disadvantage  of  these  systems  is  that  they  can  be operated  only  in  short  ranges  and  also  less  reliable.  Thus,  to  overcome  the  above drawbacks, we are using one of the wireless communication technique i.e., GSM.
            GSM  (Global  Systems  for  Mobile  Communication)    is  vastly  u sed  because  of its  simplicity  in  both  transmitter  and  receiver  design,  can  operate  at  900  or  1800MHZ  band,  faster  ,  more  reliable  and  globally  network.  Here  the  system  is  capable  of controlling the  motor b y  receiving  control messages from  an  authorized  mobile  number. Microcontroller  is  the  heart  of  our  system,  which  controls  the  overall  operation  of  our system.  System  always  alert  for  receiving  SMS  from  valid  number  then  that  particular messages  are  displayed  on  our  LCD(Liquid  Crystal  Display)  i.e.,  whether  the  motor should rotate in right shift or left shift with a speed of so and so. We  are  using  H-Bridge  as  an  driver  for  our  DC  Motor  because  our microcontroller doesn’t drive the motor directly.
                 This project uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac out put of secondary o f 230/12V step down transformer

ABSTRACT:
Soldiers are the Army’s most important resource. Soldiers play a vital role to protect one’s country. The term soldiers include service men and women from the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. They will always be the one responsible for taking and holding the duty in extreme whether conditions through out the year. While providing security to the nation, they may face troubles in extreme hot/cold whether conditions.
Both very cold and very hot temperatures could be dangerous to health. Excessive exposure to heat is referred to as heat stress and excessive exposure to cold is referred to as cold stress.  In  a  very  hot  environment,  the  most  serious  concern  is  heat  stroke.  At  very  cold temperatures, the most serious concern is the risk of hypothermia or dangerous overcooling of the body.
In this project we are going to design an E-Uniform which gives better protection to the
soldiers who are working in extreme whether conditions. This Uniform will make the soldier to
work in any kind of environment. Here we are using Solar Panels to power up the internal
circuitry of the E-uniform. A 12 V DC lead acid rechargeable battery is used for storing the
energy. We are using conventional battery charging unit also for giving supply to the circuitry.
Micro controller is the heart of the circuit as it controls all the functions. A voltage sampler is interfaced with the system using ADC 0808 to get the voltage generated from battery as a display on a 16X2 LCD.
The project is operated in two modes summer mode and winter mode. By selecting the mode of operation, we are operating the H-Bridge IC such that it can drive body heater/cooler. The heater/cooler in turn will help us to provide chilling or warming effect inside the uniform which helps the soldier to bear to any kind of external environment and he can work efficiently without heat stress or cold stress.
A 12 V DC lead acid rechargeable battery is used for storing the energy. We are using conventional battery charging unit also for giving supply to the circuitry.
This Conventional power source uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac out put of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.

ABSTRACT:

This project is an innovative solution to operate a machine / motor / liquid pumps for a small duration. If a machine is to be operated for ten minutes, and should be switched off after the duration, it is too difficult and many times we forget to switch it off the system after the prescribed time.

This project provides the facility of automatic switch off after the requited time duration. This is achieved by using the MCU. Four push-to-on switches are connected to one port of the microcontroller. These four switches are to provide four different fixed time constants.
A  16X2  LCD  is  connected  to  the  microcontroller  to  display the  status  of  the  pump. Contrast of the LCD can adjusted by using a preset which is connected to it.

A transistor is used to drive the relay during the active time period. 5V double pole - double through relay is used to control the AC liquid pump. LED indication is provided for visual identification of the relay / load status. A switching diode is connected across the relay to neutralize the reverse EMF.

ABSTRACT:
          Aim of this project is control the unmanned rail gate automatically using embedded platform. Today often we see news papers very often about the railway accidents happening at un- attended railway gates. Present project is designed to avoid such accidents if implemented in spirit. This project utilizes two powerful IR transmitter and two receivers, one pair of transmitter and receiver is fixed at upside (from the train comes) at a level higher than human being in exact alignment and similarly other pair is fixed at down side of the train direction sensor activation time is so adjusted by calculating the time taken at a certain speed to cross at least one compartment of standard minimum size of the Indian railway, normally 5 seconds.
            The sensors are fixed at 1000 meters on both sides of the gate, we call fore side sensor pair for common towards gate train, and aft side sensors for the train just Crosses the gate. When train cross the fore side sensor it gives signal to the gate receiver to close the gate. The buzzer is activated to clear the gate area for drivers about 5seconds. Gate motor is turned on in one direction and gate is closed, and stay closed till train crosses the gate and reaches aft side sensors when aft side receiver get activated motor turns in opposite direction and gate opens and motor stops .If there is any problem in the gate means it will operate red signal on both side fro the driver indication. Train arrival and departure sensing can be achieved by means of Relay techniques. When the wheels of the train moves over, both tracks are shorted to ground and this acts as a signal to microcontroller (89C51) indicating train arrival. RED signal appears for the road user, once the train cuts the relay sensor placed before the 5Kms before the gate .A buzzer is made on as a pre cautionary measure for the road users
